Anita Marnoch Campbell, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, peacefully returned to our heavenly father on January 23, 2011 at the age of 87.

Anita attended St. Ann's Catholic School and T. Jefferson High School where she graduated in 1939. She attended Our Lady of the Lake College for 2 years. When WWII broke out, she started working at Duncan Field and then KAFB, where she was until 1946 when she married Russell Leroy Campbell. Anita also worked at the SA School District until she started raising her family. She served as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader when her children were young. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ our savior and was an active member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church. Anita was dedicated to her family. She raised 3 juvenile diabetics and passed on her zest for life and positive attitude to them. She enjoyed family get togethers and reunions. She hosted many parties at her house, which was a gathering place for relatives and friends, and she always made people feel welcome. She had an open door for those in need; she cared for her mother-in-law and her brother in their final years. Russell and Anita enjoyed traveling to Europe and throughout the U.S. in their retirement years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Russell Leroy Campbell and her grandson, Anthony Campbell.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren.

The family appreciates the loving care provided at Hamilton House, where she lived for the past few years. She will be remembered as an angel who lived her Christian faith by showing kindness and always lending a helping hand. She will be dearly missed.
