Myrtle Elizabeth Christensen, 95, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away March 6, 1994.

Born January 12, 1899 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles and Maren Christine Christiansen Bishop. Married Leonard Powell. Divorced. Married John Christensen on July 10, 1924. He preceded her in death July 16, 1952.

Myrtle was an active member of the LDS Church and the Navy Mother's Club. A former resident of Lark, Utah, she loved to care for house plants and roses. She loved to crochet and many friends and family members have articles of her handiwork.

Survivors: Son, Carl Christensen and wife Evelyn, Jamestown, California; daughters, Maurine Dubois, West Jordan, Utah; Veda Adamson and husband Bob, West Valley City, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Arleen; grandson, Allan; great-grandson, Mike; three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services Wednesday, March 9, 1994 at 1 p.m. in the West Jordan 4th LDS Ward Chapel 7600 South 1899 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State, Midvale, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
