Raymond retired from Shell Oil Company, where he worked as an accountant. He was a member at Liberty Baptist Church, formerly a deacon at First Baptist Church in Naples, and once he moved to Cornerstone Retirement Center in Texarkana, he led the singing. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shell Retirees Club, and the Enon Builders Association. Raymond enjoyed riding horses and mules, fishing, hunting, and traveling.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Marcelle Garrett, in 2005; his parents; and one sister, Linda Malin.
