Sarah Jane Conn was born in Port Henry, Essex County, NY on July 1, 1842 and resided there until she and her parents moved to Clinton County, MI in 1857. On December 14, 1865, Sarah married John A. Beadle and to them were born three children. The first, Mrs. Cora Cressman, preceded her mother in death. The others were Hattie Beadle and Lynda Beadle. The couple also had an adopted daughter, Mrs. Cora Moinet. Funeral services were held in their farm home.
