At the young age of 10, Dorothy made her profession of faith and became a member of Erwin United Methodist Church, where she was a choir member and served various positions in the church over the years. Dorothy was retired from Machine and Welding Supply Company of Dunn.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019, 11:00 am at the Erwin Memorial Park by Rev. Don Mitchell.
Survivors include a sister, Gertie Duke of Erwin; son, Dwight Ashley of Erwin and daughter, Terry Ashley of Conover; grandchildren, Tiffany Ashley of Erwin and Ann Marie Moore of Conover; and several nieces and nephews.
