Erma passed this life at the Wagoner Care Center on December 23, 2018 at the age of 93. She was born August 26,1925 to Alva Hobbs and Estella (Clifton) Hobbs in Sheaburg, Arkansas. After graduating high school she continued her education and received her degree as a LPN. She married Lester Nicely on August 8, 1942 and after his death she married Layne A. Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Layne Smith, her father, Alva Hobbs, her mother, Estella Hobbs, one sister, Margie Hobbs, five brothers, Bob, Melvin, Ranald, Calvin and Russell Hobbbs, two sons, Norman (Buddy) Nicely and Dennis Smith (stepson) and one daughter, Barbara Foltz (stepdaughter).
She is survived by one sister Bulah Majors and husband Bob, two brothers, Alva Hobbs Jr. and Tommy Hobbs, one son, Randy Smith (stepson) and wife Donna, one daughter Donna Murray (stepdaughter) and husband, Marlin, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and three, great-great grandchildren.
