Mrs. Betty Waltie Clark, daughter of the late Mr. Crissie Beard and Mrs. Willie Bass Beard, was born 1 Mar 1909 in Green Co., and departed this life at 12:45 am Mon., 2 Dec [1985] at the Homewood Nursing Home in Glasgow. She was 76 years, 9 months and 1 day of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Liletown United Methodist Church at the time of her death. She united in marriage to Mr. Elwood Clark 11 Apr 1929 and he preceded her in death 27 Feb 1972. Mrs. Clark is survived by 2 sisters: Miss Dee Beard and Mrs. Lee Jeffries, both of Greensburg; 4 brothers: Opal Beard, Boyce Beard and Orville Johnny Beard, all of Greensburg, and Norwood Beard, Campbellsville, and several nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Tues. 3 Dec with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. William Hamlett officiated. Pallbearers were Bobby Joe Beard, Larry Beard, Michael Beard, Keith Jeffries, Kurt Jeffries, Rev. Leo Curry, Larry Curry and Harry Kessler.
