ARVIN W. REDEKER

Arvin W. Redeker, age 87,of 4010 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers, died Saturday morning,
Sept. 2, 2000 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at St. John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Edward Stelter will officiate at the
service, with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Arvin was born June 28, 1913 in Mishicot, son of the late Henry and Minnie Zedees
Redeker. On June 19, 1937, he married to Mildred Landt at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Mishicot. The couple celebrated 63 years of marriage this past June. A
short time after their marriage, Arvin and Mildred moved to Two Rivers, where they
joined St. John's Lutheran Church, and have been faithful members to the present
time.
Arvin was raised on the family farm, where he worked until 1940. He then worked
for a short time at Invincible Co. and Hamilton Mfg. Co., before becoming employed
with Paragon Electric, where he worked for 34 years until retiring in 1977. Mr.
Redeker was a member of the Lutheran Men's Club, Two Rivers Senior Citizens and the
Manitowoc County Fish & Game. Years ago, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and
bowling.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Redeker; two sons and a daughter-in-law: James
and Ellen Redeker, and Ronald Redeker, all of Two Rivers; a daughter and son-in-law:
Shirley and Dwight Lesperance of Two Rivers; seven grand children: Mike (Lori)
Redeker; Rick (Rita) Redeker; Patrick (Teha) Redeker; Scott (Melissa) Redeker;
Tammy (Bruce) Sinkula; Tracy (Paul) Taylor; Tina (Brian) Taylor. Eleven great-
grandchildren, a brother Kenny Redeker, and a sister Ann (Albert) Johannes, all
of Colorado, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Redeker, a great-grandchild,
Shelby Redeker, and by three brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, after
10:30 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. There will be no
Monday evening visitation.
Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, is assisting the Redeker family with
funeral arrangements.
