Owen C. Atchison, 90, of Eminence, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, at his residence. Owen was a farmer, a member of the New Castle Methodist Church and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 282 in Eminence. He was the son of the late Elmer and Clara Bell Terrill Atchison.
He is survived by his companion: Juanita Jeffries, Eminence; two daughters: Mary Jean Atchison, Frankfort and Linda Smith, New Castle; one son: Raymond Atchison, Eminence; one sister: Minnie Pollard, Pleasureville; two brothers: Charles Atchison, Shelbyville and Marvin Atchison, Smithfield; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Adams Atchison and brother, Ray Atchison.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9th at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Garry Polston, Pastor of the Olive Branch Methodist Church officiated. Interment was in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
