Thomas Lincoln Westbrook, age 90, of Spring, Texas passed away on Friday December 28, 2018. Thomas was born February 12, 1928 in Gandy, LA to Mary Effie Self and Joseph Westbrook. Thomas served his country in the United States Army during WWII and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal. He retired from Houston Lighting & Power (HL&P) in 1987, after 44 years of dedicated employment. Thomas had a passion for gardening and carpentry. He was a Thirty Second Degree Mason and a member of Klein United Methodist Church.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Elizabeth Westbrook; children, Vivian Russell and her husband Edward, Forrest Westbrook and his wife Susan and Rand Westbrook and his wife Susan; sisters Mickey Moore of McKinney, TX and Doris Colley of Cullman, AL; grandchildren Mark Russell and his wife Barbara, Sara Beecher, Ryan Westbrook, Joel Westbrook and his wife Melissa, Scott Westbrook and his wife Whitney, Meredith Seabourn and her husband Jonathan and Derek McCrory and his wife Charla; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Thomas was preceded in death by; mother Mary Effie Self and father Joseph Westbrook.
A visitation for Thomas will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A burial will occur immediately following the funeral service at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
