Born April 6, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the oldest son of Niels Peter and Lily Bailey Nelson.
Married Evelyn Malstrom, July 31, 1948 in Murray, Utah; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Veteran of World War II, Marine Corps.
Survived by his wife; sons, David (Jeanne), Sandy; Mark (Cindy), Copper City; daughters, Juloie (Philip) Terry, American Fork; Virginia (Bernard) Brockbank, Sandy; 15 precious grandchildren; brother, Ernest; sisters, Irene Shaffer, Ruth Ross, Bernice Davis, and Eleanor Jensen. Preceded in death by parents; son, Daniel; and brother, Clifford.
Funeral services Wednesday, November 16, 1994, at 12 noon, in the Olympus 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 3070 Nila Way (4140 South), Holladay. Friends may call at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Tuesday evening 6:30-8 p.m. or one hour prior to services at the ward. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
