Malden "Chris" Miller
1934 - 2018

Early Life: Chris was born April 1, 1934, in Newton, Utah, to Conrad Lorenzo Miller and Eva Atkinson Miller. He grew up in Newton with his four brothers and three sisters. He was a Scout and loved camping, hunting and fishing. He graduated from North Cache High School and was a star on the football team.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy for four years. When he returned from the military, he met Alberta "Carolynn" Adams in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was love at first sight at the roller skating rink. Once they began talking they never stopped. They were married on November 15, 1956 and moved to California where their only son, Danny, was born. Shortly after, they moved back to Midway, Utah. It was there that three daughters, Tammy, Vickie and Julie, blessed their family. Chris instilled his love of hard work and the outdoors into his children as they ran a dairy farm together. Later, the family also moved to Nevada, Granger, and eventually Orem, where Chris worked as an appliance technician. On September 3, 1966, they were sealed as a family for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Chris was kind, driven, and charitable with a no-nonsense attitude. He taught his children to be true and faithful, to live the gospel, and set high standards of success. He was a dedicated family man who loved his wife and children more than anything and was a great example to them. He always worked hard to provide for them and loved spending time with them. He had great relationships with his brothers and sisters. He loved his grandchildren. He loved hunting with his son, grandsons, brothers and nephews in the mountains of Utah. He loved to camp with the entire extended family and he spent many summers in his RV as a member of the Good Sam’s Club. He also loved reading and working with his hands. A dedicated man to the gospel of Jesus Christ and a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Chris served in many positions in the Church from Cubmaster, elders quorum counselor, high priests group leader, and enjoyed being a full-time missionary at the Salt Lake Temple Square mission with his eternal companion. After his wife, Carolynn, passed away, he was blessed to have Lynda Jane Hegarty enter his life. They were married on July 9, 2009, and he enjoyed his last years on earth with her as his wife. Wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend and husband, Malden "Chris" Miller, passed away December 26, 2018. He was 84.
