Thomas W. Herring - Services for TSgt. Thomas W. Herring USAF Retired will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 3, 2005 in Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home chapel. Officiating will be Dr. Randy Harper, pastor of Bellaire Baptist Church with a eulogy by Dan Wooten. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7: p.m. on Friday September 2, 2005 at the funeral home.

Mr. Herring was born in Duplin County NC on October 23, 1930. He passed away on Tuesday August 30, 2005 in Bossier City, LA. Mr. Herring attended Bellaire Baptist church and has been a longtime resident of the area. He retired from the Air Force out of Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro NC after 20 years of service.

Mr. Herring was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife of 52 years Joan Herring of Bossier City; two sons, James A. Herring and wife Roxanna of Huntsville AL and Philip O. Herring of New Orleans; daughter Lisa Gail Reynolds and husband Mickey of Kingwood TX; three sisters, Carolyn Herring, Judith G. Meek and Sylvia Bryan, all of Richlands NC; six grandchildren, Jason, Zachary, Rebecca, Matthew, Derek and Nathaniel, and numerous nieces and nephews.
