With Callie, he had a second son, Henry Jefferson Seale, Jr., who was only a few months old when his father passed away. Young Leon lived with relatives until moving in with his aunt, Mrs. W. J. Alston, a sister of his father, in Texas. Leon married Irene Gibson in 1913. The couple had no children, and Leon was in the newspaper business in Texas.
