I was told by my father, Ralph Perry, that his father, William Richard Perry, died from an apparent heart attack at the age of 50. He came in from the field and was sitting in a chair when he suddenly left this world. He left a wife and nine children. Ralph, my father, was the youngest and he was five years old. He could not remember much about his father. He thought much of what he thought he remembered may have been told to him by his family.

William R. Perry of Novelty, Knox Co., MO, over age 21 and Eva M. Browning of the same place over the age 18 received a marriage license on 6 Mar 1893 at Edina, MO.

They were married at Mrs. Browning's house on 8 Mar 1893 by Minister of the Gospel John Winn.

Marriage was recorded on 31 May 1893 at Edina
