Ether Racine, 103, Norris City, died at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003 at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.
Ethel was the daughter of Jewel Dexter and Clara (Jacques) Aud. She married William Floyd Racine on May 16, 1930, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 1968.
She was a teacher.
Surviving are three step-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille Brown of Carmi; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Shirley Peters; three brothers; and six sisters.
Graveside funeral services were held on Sept. 29, 2003 at 3 p.m. in Herald Cemetery. There was no prior visitation. Campbell Funeral Home, Norris City, was in charge of arrangements.
