MRS. E. N. HUBBARD DEAD.
Mrs. Maude M. Hubbard, wife of Edwin N. Hubbard, 102 Merchant, died at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday night in the Newman Memorial County hospital.
Funeral services will be held in the First Baptist church Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Rev. Paul Barker, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be at Manhattan Saturday evening. The casket will be open at the Roberts-Blue Funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
Mrs. Hubbard was born August 31, 1871, in Elkhart, Ind., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David B. Allman. When she first came to Kansas she lived in Riley county. She had lived in Emporia since 1923. Her first marriage was to the late Charles J. Barrett in 1894 in Manhattan. She was married to Edwin M. Hubbard in Topeka on December 23, 1912. Surviving, besides her husband, of the home, are three daughters, Mrs. G. A. Riley, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Mark Schmidt, Naperville, Ill., and Mrs. C. Lee Archer, Geneva, Ill; three brothers, Will Allman, Howard Allman and Lee Allman, and a sister, Mrs. Charles B. Tull, all of Manhattan. A grandaughter and two grandsons also survive. Mrs. Hubbard was a memeber of the First Baptist church and of the Royal Neighbors of America.
