After a lengthy illness, on July 14 at the Health Sciences Centre, Mr. Peter Kuczer, aged 77 years, formerly of 695 Machray Avenue and 37 Kent Road.
Prayers will be said Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Cropo Funeral Chapel, Main St at Luxton. Divine Liturgy will be sung at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18 in St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bannerman and Arlington Streets. Rev. Fr. M. Daciuk officiating. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery.
Mr. Kuczer was born in Permilya, Western Ukraine, residing in Canada for 64 years. He was employed with NATO as a cook, retiring in 1963. He was a pioneer member of St. Nicholas Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. N. Gay (Mary) of Winnipeg, Mrs. G. Ehr (Pauline) of California, three grandchildren, Kenneth Kuczer and George Ehr, both of California, Brian Gay of Winnipeg, three great-grandchildren, Kenneth of California, David and Stefan of Winnipeg. Predeceased by his wife Polly in 1969 and a son Michael in 1966.
