She retired in 2015 from the old DanMar Pharmacy in Salem after serving for 21 years as office manager. She was a 1952 graduate of Milltown High School and was an avid quilter and gardener.
Ovada married Frank D. Habermel, who passed away October 5, 1996.
Survivors include: Sons: Danny Habermel of Salem and Philip Habermel of Palmyra; Daughters: Viv Habermel of Palmyra, Patty (Mark) Nelson of Denver, Colorado and Stephanie Habermel of New Albany; Brother: Kenneth McFelea of Evansville; Sister: Maxine Archibald of Milltown and 2 Grandchildren: Darin (Rachel) Habermel and Morgan Habermel.
She was preceded in death by: son, Frank D. Habermel II and brother, Herman McFelea
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Thursday followed by interment in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Salem. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Wednesday and after 9 am Thursday.
