Kathryn Ann Niedehauser Wallace

St. George - Kathryn Ann Niederhauser Wallace, 88, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away December 19, 2018.

Her loving and devoted husband, Robert Lee Wallace III, was by her side as she passed from this life.

Kathryn and Robert spent 64 years together traveling, boating, snow skiing, and spending time with family.

They spent 12 years in Clearfield, Utah, 45 years in Bountiful, Utah and finally Saint George, Utah for the past five years.

Kathryn was a friend to all who knew her.

She had many talents and loved to do anything with sewing.

She knitted, crocheted, tatted, made clothing, pillows, curtains, drapes; anything made with a machine or needle.

She loved arranging flowers and provided floral arrangements for Relief Society and Sacrament meetings for many years.

She loved children and the piano.

She was the primary pianist for 28 years.

She was born September 3, 1930 in Logan, Utah to Alma Joseph and Violet Bindrup Niederhauser, who preceded her in death along with her brother Lynn (Shauna). Kathryn was the first child of six children and the only girl.

She was a graduate from South Cache High School and attended Utah State University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and made many life-long friends.

She met her husband, Bob Wallace, while she was working for Mountain Bell and Bob was working for Western Electric in the summer of 1953.

They were married the following year, June 19, 1954.

Kathryn worked for The Boeing Company and retired in 1987.

She was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter: Tracey (Paul) Starley; grandson, Aaron Starley; daughter, Becky (Bill) Sorensen; granddaughter, Meagan (Reece) Staheli; great-grandchildren: Parker, Macee, Kinlee, and Jake; granddaughter, Mckenzie (Randan) Woods; great-grandchildren: Emma and Oliver; brothers, Karren (Joanne), Mark (MaryLou), Bruce (Marlene), Clare (Berrie), and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation at 10:00 a.m., in the Middleton Ward Chapel, 807 West Capilla Road, St. George, Utah.

Interment will be in Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 South Dixie Dr., St. George, Utah.
