A glorious sunrise rose above the beautiful snow covered Bridger Mountains in the early morning of December 18, 2018, shortly after Rebecca made her final journey and was welcomed through wonderful Gates of Heaven. As our sister, Elizabeth, said: "She always did know how to make an entrance".

Rebecca was born on October 13, 1967, in Tucson, Arizona. In 1978, she moved with her family to Bozeman. Later living in Arizona and Idaho, she returned to the Bozeman area where she met her future husband, Brent Lang. Rebecca and Brent were married on March 28, 2000, in Bozeman, and they eventually settled in Belgrade, Montana. Rebecca was crazy in love with dogs, any size or breed, and was an active volunteer at both Haven House and Journey Church.

Our Rebecca was beautiful, kind, and loving. She was a daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. She overcame more obstacles in her life than most of us have ever faced. She had been fractured and broken but picked herself up and emerged stronger. Rebecca fought battles she never talked about and suffered wounds she never showed.

When Rebecca faced the biggest battle of her life, she did so with more grace and beauty than I have ever witnessed. She was not a victim, she was a warrior. It humbled us and took our breath away. She inspired us in ways she probably never even knew.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Brent; parents, William and Janice Dewey; and her children, Elizabeth Crider, Kyle Cline and Lisa D'Andrea. She will also be greatly missed by her six siblings, Donna (Jack) Kurk, Kelley (Brady) Sparrow, Dotty (Jim) Herberer, Joe (Shannon) Dewey, Vonnie (Mark) Stewart, and Elizabeth (Michael) Monson. Rebecca is also survived by her father-in-law, Robert Lang; sister-in-law, Linda Lang; brother-in-law, Brian Lang; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends too numerous to count.

She was met at Heaven's door by her beloved Grandma (Helen) Dewey, and mother-in-law, Miriam Lang.

Rebecca chose a beautiful day to go to Heaven, and we have no doubt she hit the ground running, introducing herself to everyone with that gorgeous smile, and already planning an epic Christmas celebration.

In lieu of flowers, if people should wish to make a donation in her memory to the Cancer Support Community Montana, 102 S. 11th Ave, Bozeman 59715, the family would greatly appreciate it.

No services will be held at this time as we are planning a Celebration of Life next summer at her favorite place, Priest Lake, in Idaho. All are welcomed to join us at that time.

Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. www.dokkennelson.com
