Services for Mr. Tatum will be Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00AM at Union Baptist Church in LeCompte with Rev. William Dearbone officiating. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Progressive Funeral Home.
Mr. Tatum, age 78, of Cheneyville died on February 13, 2011 in Grace Home at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lemont and Diner Saulsberry Tatum; brother, Chester Tatum; and his sister, Elouise Tatum.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Willie Lee Simmons Tatum of LeCompte; son, Joseph Tatum of LeCompte; four daughters, Mary Freeman (Bryan), Maria Kirk (Ambrose), Marie Tatum all of LeCompte and Kathi Tatum of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
