Wilma Lee (Layton) Carr, age 94 of Mount Storm, WV passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at her home. She was born May 15, 1924 at Landes, WV and was the daughter of the late William Layton and Zeola Myrtle (Alt) Layton. In addition to her parents Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Carnie Carr, Sr. on January 21, 1993 and one daughter, Patsy Jean Carr; two brothers, David L. Layton and William Layton; three sisters, Bessie Champ, Goldie Elosser and Myrtle Layton; son-in-law, Robert B. Haslacker; sister-in-law, Linda Layton.

Wilma was a member of the Mount Storm Presbyterian Church for 61 years. She began working at the Election Polls in 1954 and continued through 2010. She was one of the original members of Mount Storm Fire Company Ladies Auxilary. She also was a leader of the 4-H Allegheny Chieftains from 1955-1970.

Wilma is survived by two sons, Carnie Carr, Jr. of Mount Storm, WV and William L. (Dana) Carr of Mount Storm, WV; two daughters, Connie Lee Haslacker of Maysville, WV and Betty (Wayne) Hawk of Mechanicsburg, PA; eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren; two brothers, Golden (Bonnie) Layton of Rawlings, MD and Ralph G. Layton of Maysville, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

A funeral service will begin at 2 PM Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with James Collette officiating. Burial will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
