He was a 1944 graduate of Williamsport High School Williamsport, MD. Calvin owned and operated Bowers Farms in Downsville for 75 years and also was previously employed at Pangborn Corp. in Hagerstown, MD for 26 ½ years. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Conococheague Tribe #84 IORM of Williamsport, MD.
He is survived by his wife Helen Mae Walters Bowers of Downsville, MD; daughters, Pamela Rinehart and Amy Stotler; son Phil Bowers; grandchildren Christopher, Phillip “Harvey”, Landon, Wyatt “Charlie Brown”, Angel, Amber, Kelen, and Autumn; and nine great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son David A. Bowers and three sisters Martha Martin, Evelyn Hammond, and Hilda Cunningham.
Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport, MD. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown, MD.
