Mrs. THELMA MAY BOWERS HUGHES, 54, wife of Robert E. Hughes, of 207 Roessner Ave., Hagerstown, died at Washington County Hospital Sunday. Born near Bakersville, she was the daughter of Mrs. Hattie Skelton Bowers, Downsville, and the late David P. Bowers.
She was a member of the Downsville Christian Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Martha Martin, Downsville; Mrs. Hilda Cunningham, Boonsboro; and Mrs. Evelyn Hammond, Hagerstown; and brother, Calvin Bowers, Downsville.
Services were held at the Bast Funeral Home; burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport.
