Timothy Richard "Tim" Boyer, age 62, of Lexington, Kentucky formerly of Madison entered this life on September 8, 1956, in Evanston, Illinois. He was the loving son of Dorothy Elizabeth (Dunmore) and Maurice Willits Boyer, Jr.
He was raised in Elgin and Sycamore, IL, and graduated from Elgin Schools. Tim was an avid bowler and enjoyed Special Olympics events. He worked at Jewel-Osco Grocery Store in Elgin for many years until his family moved to Madison in 1994.
While living in Elgin, Tim enjoyed volunteering at the hospital with his long-time friend, Rick Theobold. Tim then enjoyed working in customer service at Mr. Gatti's Pizza in Madison.
He enjoyed people and was very social, never meeting a stranger. He loved to go to Door County on the shores of Green Bay to the cabin built by his grandfather.
Tim was a faithful member of the Madison Presbyterian Church as long as his health permitted.
After the death of his beloved sister, Nancy, Tim's health began to decline and he moved to Lexington to be close to his nephew.
Tim enjoyed Chicago Cubs baseball, car races, mini golf, and playing cards. Patriotism was very important to Tim and he always was enthusiastic with the display of the flag.
Tim died on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 11:33 a.m. at the Providence Pine Meadows in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice W. Boyer, Jr., died in February 1988; his mother, Dorothy Elizabeth Dunmore Boyer, died August 29, 2007; his beloved sister, Nancy Jean Boyer Strandmark, died December 30, 2016: and his aunt, Virginia Louise Garland, died June 18, 2005.
