Salt Lake City - Funeral services will be Wednesday at noon at 260 E. South Temple for Clara Ferrell Egbert Grass Hughes, 80, of 239 E. South Temple, who died Friday in a local hospital of a heart attack.
She was born Oct. 25, 1892 in West Jordan to Robert C. and Clara Porter Bradford Egbert. She married Harry Grass on Oct. 28, 1913 and they later were divorced. She married Arthur Hughes Aug. 12, 1940 in Provo and he died May 12, 1949.
She was a former census taker for Salt Lake Planning Board, a member of DUP, member of Archibald Gardner Camp, member of Senior Citizens Club No. 1 and 2, past Relief Society teacher and secretary in Sandy First Ward.
Surviving are one son and two daughters; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at 260 E. South Temple and Wednesday prior to services.
