Myrtle Smith, age 91 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, January 13, 2019. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on August 14, 1927 to Phil and Alice (Bowling) Collins. On October 21, 1944 in Clay County, Kentucky she married Homer Smith and he preceded her in death in 2003. Myrtle was devoted to the Lord and a member of Glory Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed gardening and her flowers.

She is survived by five children, Curt (Gail) Smith, Paul (Kym) Smith, Mae Enyart, Mable (Denver) Smith, and Charlotte Miller; nineteen grandchildren, including her devoted granddaughter, Julianna; thirty-three great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; three sons, James, Jerry, and C.T. Smith; one daughter, Wanda Hoskins; a grandson, Todd Allen Enyart; two sons-in-law, Don Miller and Mike Enyart; and eleven siblings, brothers, Bart, Speed, Caleb, Lester, and Luker Collins and sisters; Ida Collins, Maude Riley, Sophia Collins, Stella Allen, Elsie and Magaleen Smith.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Mike Worrell officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.
