Mrs. Bertha Chalmers, 78, Scranton, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted Dec. 8. She was born Nov. 5, 1892, at Scranton, and spent her life in the Scranton community. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Scranton. Her husband, James Chalmers, died Aug. 6, 1969. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Cora Green, Bakersfield, Calif., and a brother, Morrell Young, Scranton. Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Scranton Cemetery. TDC 12-13-1970
