Blue Springs-Curtis Dwight Wood, age 68, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018, at his residence. He was born March 30, 1950, in New Albany to Leo Truitt Wood and Zelma Mae Hamblin Wood. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for six years. He worked as branch manager at Malone&Hyde for eighteen years. Currently, he was department manager for Walmart where he worked for over twenty years. He was a member of Center Baptist Church. He loved Ole Miss football.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018, at United Funeral Service with Bro. Mike Brazeal and Larry Wood officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery. United Funeral Service will be in charge of the arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Mooneyhan Wood; a daughter, Kelly Nunnelee (fiancé, Anthony Dean); a son, Kevin Wood (Tracie); a sister, Barbara Bullock; and one grandchild, Aiden Nunnelee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Danny Bullock.

Pallbearers will be John Bullock, Chris Bullock, Barry White, Chris Jones, Paul Bryan, and Joey Wood.

Visitation will be the day of the service from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at the funeral home.

In honor of Mr. Wood’s service to his country, United Funeral Service will fly the U.S. Army flag during the visitation and service.
