Warren D. Ellis, 84, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2018, at his home in Kearney surrounded by family. He fought a two-year courageous and stoic battle with cancer. Warren was one to live life to the fullest and never backed down from any challenge. Warren was born August 15, 1934, in Rochester, NY, the eldest of two children of Charles W. and Alma B. (Carey) Ellis. Along with his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his son, Scott Ellis; grandson, Brandon Jacques; and great grandson, Karson Rodgers.

Warren retired in 1999 as a director of sales for Siemens Stromberg-Carlson. He loved to spend time with family and friends at his homes in Kearney and the Lake of the Ozarks. He had a passion for food, always making sure he had a 7-course meal planned. He traveled with a cooler and brought plenty of food for all to enjoy. Warren had a knack for mentoring and guiding people on all aspects of life, especially when it came to finances. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Patricia (Nawrocki) Ellis; daughters, Kim Jacques (Ted), Karen Lovekamp (Kevin) and Kathy Ellis-Hancock (Phil); grandchildren, Stephanie Oliver, Jenni Palmer (Jake), Heather Buckman (Ryan), Rachel Rodgers (Mike), Brock Richardson (Ashlee Ballard) and Gunnar Lovekamp (Kailey); great grandchildren, Peyton, Preslee, Makenna, Marley, Jaxon, Phoenix, Miles, Cora, Ellis and Charlotte. He also leaves his sister, Carol Welch (Frank Ciriello), as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon, followed by a service celebrating Warren's life at 2:00 pm, on Monday, December 17, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial will follow in Glenridge Cemetery. Remembering Warren's passion for the Kansas City Chiefs, please feel free to wear your Chiefs attire in his honor!

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald Room at Children's Mercy Hospital (in memory of Warren Ellis and in honor of his late great grandson Karson Rodgers).
