Early Life: Brenda was born November 21, 1942, in Provo, Utah, a daughter of George "Lowry" Anderson and Mercedes Poulson Anderson. She excelled in studies and graduated from Springville High School.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Brenda attended Brigham Young University on a full scholarship, graduating in elementary education. Following graduation, she taught elementary school for four years. She was married to Robert H. Blackwell, and upon his graduation from Brigham Young University, they moved to Bountiful, Utah, where she taught at the elementary school. The couple then returned to Orem, where they resided permanently. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brenda held many positions. The couple had two sons and a daughter. Trips with her husband to South Fork in Provo Canyon, were greatly enjoyed by her. There, they observed a variety of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, peacocks, among various other animals in a natural setting. Brenda loved to read and was a member of the neighborhood book club where she participated for many years. She also belonged to several other clubs. She enjoyed taking care of her home and yard, she loved her family, the ward, and the neighborhood. Brenda will be greatly missed, especially by her loving husband of fifty-six years. Brenda Anderson Blackwell, of Orem, Utah, passed away unexpectedly December 11, 2018. She was 76.
Survived By: Her husband, Robert; their son, Daniel. parents.
