Michael T. Donahue passed away and found peace after a long battle at the age of 75. He's predeceased by wife Cheryl of 30 years just prior to their 31st anniversary. He is survived by his daughters Anna, Terry, Michelle, Tanya, son Sean and (his love for) cats Willey and Peggy Sue. Uncle to Jeannie, Edward, Donald, Dennis, Tony, Goldeen, Bertha, Gaspar and John.
Michael was born in San Diego, CA to John and Goldeen (Scott) Donahue. At the age of 17 he joined the Air force in 1960. He was stationed in Minot, North Dakota and honorable discharge in 1963. A mechanic by trade he changed his career in 1980 and started work for the city of Hawthorne, CA Parks and Recreation. Six years later he started an entrepreneur journey by obtaining his real estate license, which lead to a Broker's license. In 1999 he and his wife Cheryl started Truckee Getaway Vacation Homes property management in Northern California. Intent of involving themselves with the community they joined the Chamber of Commerce and volunteered at the Humane Society. Retiring in 2016 they sold the business and moved to Hidden Valley Lake, CA to start their next adventure of providing a home for rescue animals on a 5 acer land parcel. His wife will lovingly pursue this dream in his memory.
