Charlotte Louise Wright Fuller, 91 of Bluefield, VA, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 10, 2018. Born in Honaker, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Samples and Bertha Whitt Wright. She graduated from Honaker High School in 1941 with honors. She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and held various offices in the Women’ Group at the church. Louise was very active in the Tazewell County Community, alongside her husband, Beverly Conley Fuller. She was President of and active in the Women’s Committee at the Farm Bureau Federation, member of the Extension Homemakers Club, was in charge of the Tazewell County Fair Division Homemakers and she served as judge at several fairs in surrounding areas. She also received many awards thru Tazewell County functions. She was an avid gardener, canner and quilter. A building at the Tazewell County Fairgrounds and a conference room at the Tazewell County Extension Office are named after and dedicated to the memory of Con and Louise Fuller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Beverly Conley Fuller; sisters: Virginia Burke Wright Nickels, Betty Jane Wright Dodrill and Mildred Evelyn Wright Cook; brother: James Luther Wright; son in law: Edward Lee Billips.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Connie Louise Fuller and Shelby Jean Fuller Billips, both of Bluefield, VA; granddaughters: Lisa Dawn Billips and Keli Diann Billips; great-grandchildren: Jacob Immanuel Remines, Ethan Riley Remines, Wyatt Andrew Billips and Scarlett Louise Allumi; grandson: Dennis Billips; great-granddaughters: Lily and Lucy Billips; sister: Doris Ann Wright Rasnake of Abingdon, VA; sisters in law: Gerlene Carter and Irene Wampler.
A service to celebrate Louise’s life will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Aker and Rev. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens.
