BLUEFIELD, Va..Beverly Con Fuller, was born in Honaker, Va., and was the son of the late Elden B. and Nora Rasnick Fuller.

He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He had served his country in the United States Army, receiving medals from his time in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and also World War II. Mr. Fuller loved farming and was proud to have served on the board at the Farm Bureau and the Tazewell County Fair. He was the recipient of numerous awards and commendations for his faithful work and effort in the community. Most recently, he was given an award from the Board of Supervisors at the Farm Bureau. He was an active sponsor and supporter of the 4-H and the Tazewell County Extension Office. The crops he grew were some of what was sold in town at the Farmer's Market. He was noted for his famous applebutter, which was made on his farm for the Chamber of Commerce. The Fuller-Perry Building at Tazewell Fairgrounds was named after him. Mr. Fuller has retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lucy Harrison, Verti Fuller, Lee Fuller, Joe Fuller, and Frank Fuller and by his son-in-law, Edward Lee Billips.

Left to cherish his memory, are his wife of 62 years, Charlotte Louise Wright Fuller; his daughters, Shelby Jean Billips of Bluefield, Va., and Connie Louise Fuller of Bluefield, Va.; sisters, Irene Wampler of Bristol, Va., Gerlene Carter of Bristol, Va., and Edith Johnson of Lebanon, Va.; grandchildren, Lisa Dawn Billips and Kelli Diann Billips; great-grandchildren, Jacob Immanual Remines, Ethan Riley Remines, Wyatt Andrew Billips; special friends, Steve and Wendy DeGray, Kathleen Stowers and Frank Johnston.

A service to celebrate Mr. Fuller's life will be held Saturday, July13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va., with the Rev. Steve Aker and the Rev. Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Memorial Post 9696 and the Pocahontas American Legion Post 14.

Friends may visit with the family tonight from 6-9 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va.

In honoring his wishes for no flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 126 Ebenezer Ave., Bluefield, VA 24605 of Robert J. and Lillie Mae Scott Scholarship Fund of Ebenezer, 1938 Tazewell Avenue, Bluefield, Va 24605
