Born August 12, 1929 in Lewiston, Utah to Elwood Jack and Elzira Fellows Coates. Married Ray D. Carlson July 21, 1946 in Evanston, Wyoming. She retired from Warner Lambert, enjoyed camping, fishing, ball games, and traveling with family and friends.
Member of the LDS Church. She will be remembered for her big heart and always making others happy.
Surviving are: husband, Ray, Sandy; children and their spouses, Glen E. and Kathy, Midvale; Darwin L. and Pat, Salt Lake; Diane and Bob Andrews; Roger D. and Teri, all of West Jordan; Sheila Ray and Don Erickson; Cindy J. and Ron Davis all of Murray; Kenny D. and Debbie, Kearns; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Duane, Calif.; Jack, Magna; Melvin, Montana; Jerry, Bob, Tom, Ilene Goulding, Irene Jensen, all of Salt Lake.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 13, 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Rd., where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment Redwood Memorial Estates.
