Betty Marie Sisk Bridges, 82, of Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, at home.
Born January 25, 1936, in Savannah, GA; daughter of the late Robert Garland Sisk (1907–2001) and Marie Lillian Collins Sisk (1904–1993); wife of the late Bruce Bridges (1933–1996) for 39 years.
An active member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church for more than 50 years; involved with the Prayer Shawl Ministry, E.C.A., and Foothill Quilters Guild; enjoyed quilting and visiting the homebound members of her church; and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Conaway (Jack); sons, Darryl Bridges (Tammy) and Robert Bridges (Kim); eight grandchildren; and six great-granddaughters.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday December 12, 2018, at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, NC, with Rev. Keith McKinney and Dr. Carroll Page officiating.
The family received friends in the Life Enrichment Center at Boiling Springs Baptist Church immediately following her service
Graveside services were held at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Cleveland Memorial Park.
