Rev. Leathers began his pastorate at Ward Hill Church of Christ and was
ordained in 1977. He retired as pastor of the church in 1981.
Born and educated in Haverhill, he graduated from Haverhill High.
He had also worked at various dairies, including the former H.R. Noyes
Dairy for 17 years and the former Carters Dairy.
The widower of Beatrice Leathers, he leaves son and daughter-in-law
Lawrence and Else of Palm Bay, Fla.; daughters Constance and Myrna
Constantineau, both of Methuen; 12 grandchildren; and 14
great-grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Glendon Leathers.
Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
