She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 24, 1929, to Clarence and Margaret O’Laughlin Drury.
She was a Secretary for Munich Welding for 24 years, a volunteer at Floyd Memorial Hospital, a member of Seniors Citizens Club at St. Anthony’s where she was also a Eucharistic Minister, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish in Lanesville, Indiana and a member of Double H Square Dance Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred Geswein; her infant brother, Charles Joseph Drury and two sisters, Mary Agnes Schilmiller and Cornelia A. Love.
She is survived by sons, Stephen F. Geswein (Jane) of Corydon, IN, Richard A. Geswein (Mary) of Lanesville, IN, Barry Geswein of New Albany, IN; one daughter Cynthia A Hobbs of Jeffersonville, IN; two sisters Frances LaVerne Ernstberger of New Albany, IN and Gail M. Vanzant of Kokomo, IN; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville, IN. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will begin Monday, December 10, 2018 from 2 PM until 8 PM with Rosary Prayer service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue from 9 AM to 10AM on Tuesday.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 6100 Dutchmans Ln # 401, Louisville, KY 40205.
