BRADSBERRY SR., Marion Jerold "Jerry" - Age 78, passed away on July 7, 2004. Jerry was born on December 29, 1925, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. He was a resident of Roseburg, Oregon, for the past fourteen years. A true patriot, devoted to his country, he served as a Navy Sonarman during WW II, then joined the Marines where he continued to serve through the Korean action. He was honorably medically retired from the Marines in 1952. A devoted husband and father, Jerry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marguerite A. Bradsberry; sons, Marion Jerold Bradsberry Jr.; James Bradsberry; Jonathan Bradsberry; daughters, Susan Ting; Veronica Purvis; Mary Bradsberry; and Jennifer Tippett. He has seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His life was his family and his loving, open heart extended to many 'adopted' children he mentored throughout the years as a track and field coach and Cub Scout leader. Jerry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he enriched. A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004. My husband, Richard and I were at a local Sacramento store in our VW van and Jerry came over to us in the parking lot asking Richard if he knew how to work "ON ONE OF THESE THINGS," of course Rich did and then and there was started a very pleasant relationship with Jerry and his wife, Marguerite
