Mr. James Rex “Jim” Goodrum. Sr., age 82 of Franklin, KY, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at 6:20 PM at the Medical Center in Franklin, KY. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Jim was born June 25,1936 in Warren Co., KY to the late Roy Clifton Goodrum and the late Zulu Ackerman Goodrum. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Shelby Goodrum, Woody Goodrum, Bob Goodrum, and 1 sister Virginia Copas. He is survived by his wife , a daughter , a son , 3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren . Jim was a member of First Baptist Church, former member of Simpson Benevolent Lodge, past President of the Franklin Country Club, and former Club Champion. He retired from Kendall Company and he loved building houses, selling real estate, auctioneering, and loved playing golf. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until service time Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
