PENNSBORO — Fourest W. Bunch, 100 years old, of Pennsboro, WV, departed this life on Monday, December 3, 2018, at Pine View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harrisville, WV.
Fourest was born January 10, 1918, in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late John and Clara (Dotson) Bunch.
Fourest worked as a crane operator for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI for 25 years. He had a great love of music and greatly enjoyed playing his guitar and harmonica with family, friends, and his band “Nighthawks.” He served as a volunteer at the Pennsboro Emergency Squad for 20 years and was a member of the Pennsboro Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 77 years, Opal (Dotson) Bunch who were united in marriage on May 10, 1941. Even though they had no biological children, Fourest and Opal inherited many many children that they called their own in both Michigan and West Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Bunch, Harry Bunch, Beulah Myers, Virginia Myers, Audra Penn, Robert Bunch, Charley Bunch, John Bunch Jr. and infant, Joann Bunch.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Friday, December 7, 2018, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, WV, with Dr. James Levos officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
