AUGUSTA - Geneva Rosemary Anderson, 91, a resident of Gardiner died on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at Maine General Hospital. She was born on May 10, 1927 in Fayette, the daughter of Adelbert and Laura (Norton) Smith. Geneva attended schools in Fayette and Monmouth.
She worked as a stitcher at Koss Shoe in Auburn.
On Dec. 23, 1954 she was married to Robert W. Anderson, he passed away on May 31, 1980.
Geneva was a member of the East Winthrop Baptist Church.She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, gardening, flowers, cooking and animals.
She is survived by her niece, Sandra Anair, who was her care giver, and several nieces, nephews; and her yorkie terrier, "Molly".
Geneva was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert Anderson, five brothers; Delbert, Laurice "Larry", Clinton, Vern, Glenn, and 5 sisters; Lillian Safford, Dolores Thomas, Beverly Charette, Vernice Pierce, and Gwen Polley.
