He was born on November 1, 1944, in Dallas, GA, to the late Daniel LaFayette & Helen Ray Thomason, and was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Hodges Thomason; sister, Linda Hammonds, and brother, Wayne Thomason.
Mr. Thomason was a member of Narroway Baptist Church. He retired after 38 years from Lockheed Martin where he worked as a honeycomb mechanic. He loved his girls and family. He was a faithful friend and member of Masonic Lodge of Dallas. Buckwheat was a recovered alcoholic of 40 plus years and has helped save many lives in his work with AA.
Survivors include his daughters, Stacey Lackey, Suzanne Thomason, and Sandra Thomason all of Dallas, GA; brothers, Ronnie (Darlene) Thomason, David Thomason, and Kenny Thomason; sisters, Gail (Douglas) Cole and Brenda Thomason; extended generations.
A Celebration of Buckwheat’s Life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home.
