"Mrs. Ada A. Hightower, 73, of Hale, died this morning a Livingston Manor after an illness of several months.

She was born Jan. 4, 1901, in Bolckow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore A. Roach. March 16, 1921, she was married to William C. Hightower in Sterling, Colo. They had made their home in the Hale and Tina communities since 1939. She was a member of the Christian Church in Hale.

Mrs. Hightower's survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Lloyd Hightower of Kansas City; three granddaughters, Mrs. Sandra Johnson of Kansas City, Mrs. Janet Henry of Columbia and Miss Patty Hightower of Kansas City; a great-granddaughter, Miss Andrea Lynn Johnson of Kansas City; a brother, Lester Roach of Otis, Colo.; and a sister, Mrs. Eva Jackson of Akron, Colo.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon at the Lindley Funeral Home at Hale, the Rev. Walter Bingham officiating. Burial will be in the Hale Cemetery." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, July 23, 1974
