Visitation will be Friday May 25, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.
Jeff is survived by two brothers, Jon (Linda) Ulstad and Joel (Deborah) Ulstad both of Fort Dodge; two nieces, Janelle (Alex) Carstensen of Callender and Allison Ulstad of Fort Dodge; three nephews, Logan, Devin, and Bryant Ulstad, all from Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Helen (Frette) Ulstad; and infant brother Bryan Ulstad.
Jeffrey D. Ulstad was born October 19, 1950 in Fort Dodge. Jeff graduated in 1968 from Fort Dodge Senior High School. He received his B.A. from Huntington College and graduate work at Auburn University, both in Montgomery, AL. Jeff worked at Montgomery Baptist Hospital as an Admitting Clerk from 1970-1972 in Montgomery, AL; 1972-1976, he worked in the Montgomery Alabama School System as a Language Arts Instructor and director of school plays; from 1976-2005, he worked for the Humboldt School System as a Language Arts Instructor and director of plays and musicals. Jeff also directed many plays and musicals for Hawkeye Community Theater; he retired in 2005, and moved back to Fort Dodge.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
