She married Hubert Lynn Scott in Eliasville, Texas on February 26, 1939 and was the mother of Jerry Lynn, Carolyn and Ina Jean (Jeanna).
She was a long time member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Olney, Texas. She baked communion bread for many years. She was a member of the Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary having held many offices including president. She worked in libraries in Odessa, Abilene and Graham, Texas.
At time of death, she was survived by one son, Jerry Lynn Scott of Olney; two daughters, Carolyn Penn of Olney and Jeanna Blassingame and husband Larry of Colorado City, Texas and one sister, Adele Jeffreys of Graham, Texas.
