She was born on December 19, 1929, in Cleveland County to the late Vick Wellmon and Eva Grayson Wellmon.
She was retired from Cleveland Mills as a cloth inspector.
Rachel was a member of Polkville Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hoyle Elliott and brother Talmadge Wellmon.
The funeral was held at Polkville Baptist Church.
The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
