Gerald Bloesl Obituary
Gerald "Jerry" Bloesl, age 65, of Oshkosh entered into eternal life on Saturday November 17, 2018 at his home. Jerry was born in Oshkosh on April 18, 1953 the son of the late Frank and Jean Brusius Bloesl. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and until the time of his retirement Jerry was employed by the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh as its Coordinator of Student Activities. Other than family and friends, his passions in life included gardening, bird watching, squirrel patrol, and reading. Jerry was catholic by faith.
He is survive by one sister of Mt Calvary, and very special friends, and their three children all of Oshkosh. Jerry is further survived by many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Spanbauer.
In keeping with Jerry's wishes no formal funeral ceremony will be held. He will be buried on his parents plot in Riverside Cemetery.

Jerry Bloesl, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumnus and former Reeve Memorial Union staff member, died Saturday Nov. 17, 2018, at his home.
Bloesl was employed at UW Oshkosh in Reeve Union as the coordinator of student activities from 1978 until 2008. His primary duties involved advising many of the committees of Reeve Union Board (RUB). He was known for his distinct personality and his commitment to students. Almost all who worked with Bloesl have "Jerry stories" to share when they come back to campus and visit Reeve Union.
Because of Bloesl's longevity and impact, RUB awards The Jerry Bloesl Leadership Award annually, as the highest honor of the organization. Members who receive the award are recognized for dedication to the organization, serve as a role model to others and are leaders within the organization.
