BLUE SPRINGS – Ronald Ernest “Reb” Bridges passed from this life Sunday May 21, 2017, to be with the Lord. He was born December 11, 1949, to W.F. (Pete) and Elizabeth Idell Mooneyhan Bridges. He loved to garden, fish, hunt, read books, and aggravate his sisters. During his life he graduated East Union High School, attended Northeast Community College, served in the Air Force, and was a truck driver until becoming disabled.

He is survived by 2 sons, Ed Bridges of Memphis and Joe Bridges of Blue Springs; 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren; his parents, Pete and Idell Bridges of Blue Springs; sisters, Sheila Knowles Beaty of Blue Springs, Kay Bouchillon (William) of New Albany, Ivy Blue (Jim) of Brandon, Darlene Adams (Bobby) of Sherman, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friends, James Hamblin, Don Speck, and James Tate.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; a sister, Nina Lyles; grandparents, Ernest and Ivy Cox Mooneyhan, Tip and Grace Adams Bridges; and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Rakestraw Bridges

Like the nurse said, “There will never be another Mr. Ronald Bridges.”

A memorial service will be held at his home church, Ellistown Baptist Church, Saturday, May 27, at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m. Bro. Randy Hamilton will be officiating. Kesler Funeral Home of Baldwyn is assisting the family with arrangements.

In memory of Ronald, donations may be made to Ellistown Baptist Church, 1006 CR 85 Blue Springs, MS 38828.
